I looked out the window and what did I see...

When I got up and looked out the window, I beheld a mystery of the likes I'd never seen before! What is this cold white sheet scattered over the cars and streets? I think I may have seen it on a puzzle, or perhaps a movie somewhere. Oh yeah, I think I remember something like from the Home Alone movies, but it's been too long... I'll keep you posted as I investigate further.
